NASA utilizes MLB Bat for Mars exploration research

The MLB Bat autonomous mini-UAV was flown in a set of NASA experiments at Haughton Crater MLB bat prepares to fly in the Haughton craterin northern Canada. The site, located above the Arctic Circle, serves as an excellent analog for Mars exploration research on Earth. The Crater is the home of the NASA Haughton-Mars Project, an international interdisciplinary field research project centered on the scientific study of the Haughton impact structure and surrounding terrain.
