In its August 18, 2003 issue (pages 30 & 31), Aviation Week covered recent MLB flight activities in an article about civilian applications of UAVs. The focus was on a cooperative effort with the NASA Ames UAV Applications Center to conduct a flight survey mission over a California winery. The article also discussed future plans for further MLB- NASA collaboration and the capabilities of the MLB Bat.
